Synthetic biology refers to both: A) the design and fabrication of biological components and systems that do not already exist in the natural world
B) the re-design and fabrication of existing biological systems. -

Human evolution over the past few millenia has primarily been noogenic, not biogenic. Modern advances now make it easier to modify humanity on a genetic level. Do you believe that the greater benefit still lies in refining our noogenetic potential? Do our noogenetics and biogenetics lie hand in hand? I would like to hear everyone's thoughts.
